“It’s Hard To See Myself” is an ongoing series of works that refer to a search for the self and building an identity, and how self perception shifts and distorts during periods of change. Jace sources vintage mirrors from fleamarkets and online marketplaces, which she then alters with clear gesso and woodworking tools to create a unique but cohesive collection of obscured mirrors.
